When I came to know the Lord I was overwhelmed by the challenge of developing a consistent prayer life. The 12 Minute Prayer Challenge gave me simple guidelines using the prayer that Jesus gave us as an example.

I have found that using the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge has helped me to venture into higher spiritual realms as I get to know our Savior. If you accept the challenge, I believe it will quickly become the most precious time of your day.

I have fallen completely in love. When you’re in love you do some crazy things. Text all day, spend hours in coffee shops not even drinking coffee—you want to share even the most miniscule details of your day with the person you love. Now I am whole heartedly in love with God.

When I heard about the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge, I accepted it and have been forever changed. It is hard to push the ignore button when I know I have only committed to pray for twelve minutes. Soon I found myself adding time as it was just not long enough. I can tell Him anything without feeling fearful, silly or dumb because He is my Father. I love Him and have access to Him!

To my excitement, after accepting the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge I found it taught me to focus more on the quality of time with God rather than just on the amount of time spent.

At first I thought “How can praying only twelve minutes a day make a difference?” After a few days I realized that within the twelve minute range of focused prayer I definitely connected to God and felt drawn to continue pressing forward in additional prayer.

My passion for prayer has been renewed and I am finding the daily strength to continue to grow in prayer.

Busyness had begun to interfere with my prayer life and I felt the negative effects. When I tried to spend time with God, my mind was bombarded with things not yet crossed off my “to-do” list. I felt frustrated because I couldn’t seem to focus and truly connect.

Then I learned about the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge and eagerly tried it. At first, it was hard to focus, even for just twelve minutes but I began to allow my brain to empty itself out and completely focus on Jesus. I found right around the twelve minute mark, I felt clarity and a true connection with the Lord that allowed quality communion with God. Soon twelve minutes became fifteen, and fifteen became twenty and so forth.

After accepting the challenge I learned to silence my “to-do’s.”

Prayer is no longer a frustrating “up-hill battle.” I feel strengthened and challenged to grow.

All my life I have been around praying saints who could pray for hours at a time. My few minutes of prayer paled in comparison. As I observed them I became discouraged. On occasion, I would feel the burden of prayer “hit” me and would pray for awhile … but it was definitely not consistent.

When I heard about the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge, my first thought was, “I can do that!” We were not being asked to pray for an hour, or even for thirty minutes.

I found that consistently praying for those few minutes made such a big difference in my life. My relationship with God has deepened and grown. Twelve minutes is no longer enough!

The 12 Minute Prayer Challenge transformed my concept of prayer. I had often felt overwhelmed when it came to daily prayer. The options of what prayers should be prayed seemed endless and disorganized. As I tried sort through it, I felt discouraged and guilty.

Now I find prayer absolutely manageable. The thought of prayer doesn’t overwhelm me anymore, and I don’t feel guilty. I learned to pray prayers that are close to God's Heart.

My prayer times have changed from a huge, daunting obligation to a gentle, sweet invitation to simply invest twelve minutes of time with my Jesus. I never regret those twelve minutes.

I read your book. It is changing my life. I have had issues in certain areas of my life and have not had the power to overcome them but I believe if I will continue to follow the 12 Minute Prayer Challenge I will have enough strength to overcome my issues.

Thank you for the complimentary book,12 Minute Prayer Challenge. Daily morning prayer has recently revolutionized my life, so I enjoyed all the tips and prayer ideas for my special time with the Lord.

My husband and I wanted a special book to give to all the ministers and their wives for an upcoming Christmastime fellowship on Guam. This book is perfect! We'll buy one per couple, certain their prayer lives will be encouraged by this tremendous resource.

Thank you, Sister Anita!
